Secondary Sports Day

Yesterday was Sports Day for the secondary school, with field events held at school in the morning and track events at Stantonbury Stadium in the afternoon. Despite the very hot and humid weather, the competing students pressed on and enjoyed the day of athletics.

The winner of the Victor Ludorum was Jan Wright in Year 10, while for the girls Penny Dunn in Year 8 won the Victrix Ludorum. The school hurdles record was broken by George Dyson, Year 8.

The house with most points, which are awarded for participation as well as results, was Shakespeare.

Congratulations to all those who took part!
