Children in Need

A couple of weeks ago (11th - 15th November) was the annual appeal for Children in Need. Year 8 pupils, with the assistance of Sixth Form, organised charity events throughout the week.

The members of Year 8 were very eager to help out and performed their duties professionally and responsibly. Some of the events included: a Penny Mile, Guess the Teddy's name, Guess How Many Sweets Are In The Jar and Busking.

Penny Mile

The whole school got involved and two Year 7 students won the sweets and teddy competition! Eliza Chin correctly guessed 'Kirk' as the bears name and Kavin Muhunthan was one sweet off the correct total - 373. Busking was also a great success as we had talented students ranging from junior school right up to the seniors treating us to their wonderful music and singing.

Rochelle Dunne and Emma Nettelbeck in Year 8 also produced two stunning posters in the theme of Children in Need, these have been proudly laminated and presented in Mondays assembly.

I am pleased to announce the school made a brilliant £220 during the course of the week. The Year 8 pupils were fantastic and they should be proud that they raised so much money for such a worthy cause. Well done!
