Wacky Winter Woolies at Webber!

Students and staff at The Webber Independent School have donned their warmest, wackiest and most wonderful festive woollies to raise money for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

The school driveway was awash with bright colours as children from the Nursery through to the Sixth Form arrived at school in their festive sweaters and Christmas accessories.

At break time and lunch time, Sixth Formers sold hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and candy sprinkles to add to the money already collected through the jumper donations.

An impressive total of £230 will now go towards helping save children’s lives around the world, from Syria to Liberia, Brazil to Bangladesh.

Principal Sue Vig said: “This is a really fun and festive way of raising funds for a fantastic cause. It has been wonderful to see so many creative Christmassy cardies being paraded around school today and it’s also certainly raised a few smiles.”
