What the Dickens!

Accomplished Year 11 thespian Robert Beilby, centre, devotedly inspired and led performances of adapted scenes from Charles Dickens` Great Expectations for Webber`s annual Open Day on 5th November, followed by several ensuing performances for other year groups.  Here, ably assisted by Rochelle Dunne (as main protagonist Pip, left) and Stefano Beni (The Aged Parent, right), the humble clerk Wemmick introduces Pip to his geriatric father in a scene of comic idiosyncrasy ... one of several eccentric moments in the great Dickens landscape which our students relished with their own interpretations.
Year 11 are tackling Dickens'  masterpiece for their GCSE English Literature examination.
