The Webber Independent School Maths Olympiad

Maths Olympiad
As part of our focus on STEM learning and providing interesting challenges for our students, we decided to host our very own Maths Olympiad, which took place on 15th November. We invited local school's to come and compete in our maths challenges to encourage the competitive spirit.
The day was a great success and there were some fantastically gifted students representing their schools. The Webber Independent students competed against Great Linford, Broughton Manor, Premier Academy, Portfields and Bradwell Village. The day consisted of a range of mathematical puzzles to solve and time test challenges.
Team winners:
  1. Webber Year 5
  2. Broughton Manor Year 6

Individual winners:

  1. Harley West Year 5 from Premier Academy
  2. Mathumilan Year 6 from Great Linford Primary

The overall winners were: Broughton Manor with Webber taking second place.
Simone and Ambika from Webber were joint second in the individual rounds and the Webber Year 6 team came third.
It was a fantastic event, thank you to everyone who participated and we look forward to the next one.
