Webber's U11 Hockey Team Put the Pressure on Broughton Manor School

The U11 hockey team had their first game of the season against Broughton Manor School on Thursday 6th December, playing on a very wet day in Woughton on the Green. It was a highly competitive match, especially given the conditions, and Webber were first to concede as the defence were finding their feet. The team soon found their flow with Deen's competitive spirit ensuring we finished the first half 1-1.

In the second half Webber came out fighting, quickly scoring a superb second goal. They kept up momentum and were pushing for a third goal when Broughton Manor stepped up their attack and scored another goal. The game ended 2-2, it was played with fantastic spirit, skill and effort - well done to the entire team and a special mention to our Webber men of the match, Deen and Jude. Looking forward to our next game in the New Year.

Webber U14 Netball Team win 12-4 Against Shenley Brook End School

On Wednesday 5th December we hosted Shenley Brook End for our U14 league game. The team comprised: Samantha, Sophie, Jaydie, Erin, Jaanvi, Elizabeth and Fey. In the first couple of minutes the girls secured their first goal setting the tone of the game. Shenley’s defence was strong throughout, putting pressure on our attackers. However, our star shooters, Sophie and Sam, didn’t disappoint and at half time we were 5-0 up. Erin, Jaanvi and Fey made up a sterling defence and intercepted the ball on numerous occasions. Some fantastic passes from Erin also enabled us to move up the court quickly, allowing more time for our shooters to secure further goals. Jaydie demonstrated some great movement in the centre court, which enabled us to maintain possession throughout the game. The final score was a well-deserved 12-4 to Webber. Well done girls for yet another great game.
