Our Badminton Champions Did it Again. Comfortable Win at ISA Championships in Nottingham

Review by Mr Knapper - Thursday 13th December 2018

Webber attended the ISA badminton championship at Nottingham university with a squad of U13 boys and U15 boys and one U15 girl. The initial rounds were dominated by the Webber pupils, all topping their groups without dropping more than five points. Ashwati also won all of her matches only giving away five points. The knock out stages saw the Webber boys facing off against each other.

Ibrahim beat Hayden in the cup final 15-5 and Ritvick won his third place match 15-1.

In the U15 boys knock out stages Ethan was victorious against both Yash and Isa, Ethan winning the U15 competition, Yash 2nd and Isa in 3rd place. Ashwati was a comfortable winner in her semi-final 15-6 and 15-2, she then went on to win the final in two sets 15-2 15-2. All Webber pupils were paired up with pupils from other schools in the friendly doubles competition. The competition this time was a little harder, however Webber pupils won every doubles final they were entered in, a great day of badminton from the squad. Well done to all of you.
