Webber Independent Secure Second Place in Pool A of the MK Schools Netball League

The Webber Under 14 Netball Team Take Another Win!

Match Review: Mrs K Willis

Match Date: Wednesday 6th March 2019

The U14 Netball team played their penultimate game of the season this evening against Walton High. It was the deciding game for second position in the league, as we were joint on points and goals, which meant we had everything to play for. The tension was high and the first two quarters ended with a 1-1 draw, with some very well matched but nervous play from both teams. In the third quarter, Sophie scored an amazing goal from the edge of the circle, which helped boost the teams confidence ending on a 3-1 lead. The final quarter showed Webber's determination and resilience and the girls stepped up their game. Erin and Fey made some fantastic interceptions in defence and prevented Walton High from gaining possession in the circle. Jaydie in centre court worked hard to get the ball to Sophie and Samantha, as always they displayed outstanding shooting skills and managed to secure three more goals, ending the game with a well-deserved 6-1 win!

We have one more league game to play, however the win tonight means we have secured second place in Pool A of the MK Schools Netball League! An exceptional achievement for a school of our size, competing against secondary schools across MK - all of which have large cohorts. Well done girls, you should be extremely proud of your achievements, as am I.
